Unquestionably the best show on TV on the air right now, I’ve been a fan of Dexter since season 2 aired.  Recently I decided to pick up the books and read my way through them and compare it to the show.  The idea of the Dexter Collection and this site in general is to catalog my thoughts about the show, how it compares to the novels, and other ruminations or explorations of the content I’m able to dig up.

Without too much more discussion, I’ve gathered up some reasonable trailers for the first five seasons – and rounded them off with a teaser of the upcoming sixth season.

Season 1

Or, “Dexter has a brother”.

This one bears special mention, as this is the season wherein Dexter graduates into a full-blown legend, and his collector’s habits become known. It’s also the namesake of this site – the Bay Harbor Butcher.

Or, “Dexter gets a mentor”.

So, I’d just had my son, when I watched this. This is probably the most acclaimed season of Dexter I’m aware of – the saga of the Trinity killer, and the exploration of Dexter’s potential future.

Watching this trailer sent chills down my spine. There is definitely some good production value on this spot, and I highly recommend watching it. Look at how much Dexter’s collection has grown, and all that after he’s completely rebooted.

At this point, Dexter’s transformation into living legend is nearly complete. I wonder what this means for him? What could be coming next?
